What are the best fonts for a Blog Logo?

Ok this might be related for a designer, but every blogger can design his own blog logo and do the stuff himself, rather than spending those bucks by paying a logo designer.

Which fonts do you feel are the best for bloggers to use for designing their logo?

I love the Frutiger font used by techcrunch in their logo, but that costs $300 for the original one. You have any suggestions for free fonts that are best and decent ones to use for logo text?

I just downloaded Qlassik logo, and this question popped up in my mind, to ask you people what you prefer. Any good suggestions?

I would say that it depends on the type of site you are building. The first priority is to be sure that it will be legible and easily read/recognized. Aside from that, if you want to convey a feel of informalness and fun, use one that looks like a child’s handwriting. If you’re looking to convey a tech feel, use one that conveys that sort of meaning.

I think if it’s readable, that any font can be OK and the choice of font can help define the site as much as the words that are used…

If we go something for specifically tech related, what fonts would you suggest?

My apologies that it has taken me so long to get back to you. Just a quick browse through the default fonts I currently have installed that show up in Microsoft Word yields several that I think would be appropriate for a tech related site. My suggestion would be to just have a look at them and imagine how they will look with your text and the rest of your logo and if that fits the type of design that you have in mind.

*I was going to reply with a list, but the list was getting almost too long to be helpful.
